Patericon, early 18th century. Manuscript in Church Slavonic, written by several hands on laid paper with watermarks. Bound in wooden boards covered with leather; the clasp is lost. Size 19 × 12 cm. The volume contains monastic and edifying texts associated with the patericon tradition, including moral instruction, ascetic narratives, and extracts intended for spiritual reading and practical guidance. Decorative headings and rubrication indicate that the manuscript was not merely utilitarian, but was prepared with some care, while the multiple scribal hands suggest that it was compiled and supplemented over time.
