Qur’an North Africa, probably 18th century Manuscript on paper, the text of 22 lines per page in Maghribi Arabic in black ink, vocalization and diacritical marks in colored inks. The titles are inscribed in large, floriated kufic characters in polychrome inks and extended by large marginal medallions decorated with foliage. Verses separated by medallions, trisceles or palmettes colored in yellow. Brown morocco flap binding with stamped decoration of medallions, mandorles and florets. Height 270 mm ; Width 210 mm ; Depth 30 mm (As is, extensive dampening and staining, heavy wear and tears, incomplete manuscript).
