Arabic grammar and language book entitled Fawa’id al-Shafiya al-Kafiya (The curative benefits of the grammar of Al-Kafiya, known as Mu’arrab Al-Kafiya) by Hussein Zaini Zadeh, Ottoman Empire, dated 1755 Book printed on paper in Arabic, the text of 21 lines per page in naskhi calligraphy in black ink inscribed in frames in red ink and punctuated with small plant motifs, the pages numbered up to number 748. Sarlow frontispiece with mantling above the title. The introductory text inscribed in a mandorla, the colophon in a triangle, the latter giving the date of Saturday 5 Ramadan 1168 H / June 15, 1755. Owner’s stamp. Brown morocco flap binding. Height 205 mm; Width 140 mm (Stains, brown spots, missing pages, some pages cut out, handwritten notes added later, binding worn).
