The canons

Book of Canons, early 18th century. Manuscript in Church Slavonic, written by several hands on laid paper with watermarks. Bound in wooden boards covered with leather and fitted with metal clasps; size 18 × 12 cm. The volume contains Orthodox liturgical and devotional texts, including canons, troparia, and related prayers arranged for private or ecclesiastical use. The use of red and black ink, together with multiple scribal hands, suggests a working manuscript assembled and supplemented over time rather than a single-copy formal production.
